Please join us as Robert Case will discuss the MITRE Corporation work in means tested benefits, improper payment, and fraud research, including some new advanced publically funded techniques such as:

•    Generating new zero day fraud attacks (a/k/a new schemes we never knew to look for);
•    Shaping advisory behaviors in healthcare and tax fraud;
•    Identity theft mitigations and new techniques; and
•    Monitoring of social media by the US Government to find abuse of patients.

About the Speaker:  Robert Case is the Chief Scientist for the Advanced Information Technology Center and is MITRE’s Data to Decisions R&D Investment Area Leader.  He began his professional career 25 years ago when he joined the National Security Agency. After some years with the government building analytic systems he joined MITRE’s Bedford Artificial Intelligence Center in Boston and ran the Advanced Analytic Tools and Training department. He then spent five years as the CIO of a tier 2 automotive manufacturing company in Detroit where he ended up building a separate business unit dedicated to telemetry monitoring of industrial equipment and a watch center used to predict failure modes for several different manufacturing organizations. In time he returned to MITRE working in various DoD and IC organizations including leading MITRE’s team at Fort Meade as the Executive Director of National Cyber Operations. Throughout his career Robert has focused on various analytic environments in applied business mission contexts.
